Entered the third decade of the 21st century, many development and health challenges related to the destiny of mankind, such as climate change, pandemics, and food crises, have become increasingly prominent, bringing huge threats and unprecedented challenges to the world. Communication plays a vital role in promoting awareness of global development and global health issues, mobilizing resources from all parties, and promoting problem solving. In this context, in order to respond to global development trends and major national needs, and actively undertake historical missions, the "Global Development and Health Communication Research Center" of the School of Journalism and Communication of Tsinghua University was established in November 2021.

Our center gives full play to the comprehensive disciplinary advantages of Tsinghua University, gathers top experts, scholars and industry elites in related fields at home and abroad, integrates resources from academic institutions, governments, media, enterprises, social organizations, etc., and addresses the actual challenges in the field of global development and global communication. Explore innovative cooperation in the field of production, education and research from the perspective of communication, and carry out leading research and practice.
